My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay at the Victoria House. In fact, having explored Ambergris during our stay, we are convinced that you are the best resort on the Caye. Your location, grounds, and accommodations exceeded our expectations.
But, by far, it was the level of service provided by your attentive staff that impressed us the most. It would be unfair to say certain staff were a level above others. It is simply a matter of who guests come into contact with during their stay. To that end, we would like to cite Victor and Cesar for seemingly knowing our every need. We also had the pleasure of sharing a snorkel excursion with Cesar and his son and bonded as if we were lifelong friends. We recently stayed for 8 nights in the Rainforest Suite. We thought everything was absolutely wonderful. You staff is excellent (you know that), the grounds are beautiful, the food exceptional and the room was fabulous. We hope to return one day. My husband says he would go tomorrow if he could! We stayed in the casa playa blanca room 31 with another couple from 2/24-3/3. It was tremendous. I cannot begin to adequately compliment ownership, the GM, the team in houston e.g. Liz Mendola etal. Of particular note: . It was our first visit to belize and ambergis caye – and after a week in the area I would recommend staying at NO OTHER resort than the victoria house – it has no peers . The staff – whose names are so numerous I will not begin to list them – were exemplary – every single person from the front desk to rooms, to restaurants etc. . The location is superb – we have stayed in many 5 star resorts from the ocean clubs, banyan tree resorts, cap juluca and the 4 seasons nevis to name a few and the victoria house offers unprecedented value. . The service in all respects was well beyond expectations . The transit to town and other restaurants etc was always arranged with a smile, timely and with no hassle whatsoever – always a friendly face and reliable. . We would strongly recommend the victoria house as THE PLACE TO STAY to anyone contemplating a visit to Ambergis Caye The sole area of improvement is outside the control of the victoria house and that would be San Pedro town itself. It lacks the necessary variety of even modestly upscale venues – it’s fun to be in a low key environment – however the selection of shops, restaurants etc is inadequate compared to other countries or islands. Thank you VERY MUCH for providing such an exemplary experience. The trip was fantastic and extremely relaxing for the 4 of us who spent a week in your proud resort

Food quality and service in both the main restaurant (Palmilla) and the bar was outstanding. The lobster and shrimp tacos were so good we ordered them twice. Same with the lobster BLT. We ate dinner at Palmilla all but one night because it was so delicious! And the staff is beyond friendly. Some of the best service ever. It’s apparent they love their jobs (they told us so – and how long they have been there, like 16 yrs, 11 yrs, etc.)
Another big benefit: The Dive Shop. Very mis-named. They should be called the ‘Everything Shop’ – travel agent, booking agent, concierge…they arranged 2 fishing trips, a snorkeling one, flight to Orange Walk and eco-tour boat trip to Lamanai. We just had to show up.
Belize is on our list to return – and when we do, it will be to Victoria House.

My husband and I just returned from Belize two days ago, and we could not have asked for a better trip! We were inland at a jungle lodge for four days prior to our stay and Victoria House which was an amazing time. The contrast between the jungle and the luxury of Victoria House was a great dynamic of our trip. We were so happy to have air conditioning and be pampered by your staff! Our experience would NOT have been the same if we had not stayed at Victoria House! It is an oasis of serenity on the island – beautiful views, peaceful surroundings, and friendly people. I truly feel RELAXED after this vacation, rather than needing a vacation after my vacation! We ate dinner at the Palmilla restaurant every night – we found no reason to leave! The food was amazing and the service impecable. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding and unexpectedly filling. We ate lunch poolside a couple days and I am already having withdrawals from the ceviche! I loved the convenience of having good food right there and the prices were not extravagant. Jeremiah was our waiter multiple times, and he quickly became a friend as well.Also, we did the Hol Chan/Shark Ray Alley excursion as well as the Mexico Rocks/Tres Cocos snorkeling through the Victoria House dock office. I loved that they picked us up right there for the snorkeling, so we could just walk right out after breakfast on the deck! My husband and I really enjoyed the snorkeling guides – they were knowledgeable and entertaining. Everyday we would borrow bikes to ride into town, and Marlon was always there to help us. We had some good talks with him, and he is just an extremely positive, friendly person. We stayed at the jungle lodge, Pook’s Hill, with a couple from England who had just gotten married at Victoria House! Their experience was nothing short of incredible as well, and Javier was dear to their hearts. Overall, I think that Victoria House has it down to a tee. Everyone we spoke to just loved their stay there, and I honestly could not have asked for more! My husband is from Florida, so he was itching to get to the beach – obviously, Victoria House was his favorite portion of our Belize trip

Never could we have found a more perfect place than Victoria House to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our three kids, their spouses, and five grandkids. The entire experience was like a dream. Each morning at sun-up the quiet, respectful staff started working to clean our private pool, yard, and beach area at Casa Azul, and the housekeepers kept our rooms and floors extremely neat and clean every day. There was abundant staff but they never seemed intrusive and never seemed to be looking for a tip. The private dinner party that Oscar arranged and served in our front grassy yard was delicious and absolutely beautiful with twinkling lights strung above a table and chairs covered with white linens and decorated with sprays of fresh orchids. Javier did an excellent job arranging the live music, which we many times later heard that other guests enjoyed hearing on the beach that evening. Your arranging of five private boats for our family bone-fishing tournament the first day was a huge success, as were the two reef boats the second day, and the glass bottom boat for snorkeling the third. Our grandchildren, ages 6 to 10, will always remember the exciting snorkeling experience. Your food is the best we have found anywhere–we never tired of eating from the Victoria House kitchen and actually looked forward to each meal. We truly appreciated your cooking our snapper that we caught on the second day for our dinner that night, and we all looked forward to the complimentary fresh-squeezed orange juice at the beach bar each morning. We congratulate you on the superb training of your staff; it seems that each employee is proud to be working there and happily represents you with the best of service. You may quote me any time anywhere. You are definitely a 5 Star resort and deserve every award that may come your way.

My wife and I visiteded Ambergris Caye, Belize last week for the first time. We relied on the internet and UTUBE videos for allmost all of our information.
There were several very interesting hotel/resort/villa choices available, all of which looked gorgeous on line. After spending a week on Ambergris Caye, and traveling extensively from the north to the south end of the island, we determined overwhelmingly that VICTORIA HOUSE is the ONLY resort that SURPASSED it’s advertisements on the internet- in fact, all the other resorts fell SHORT of their claims. It is hard to say what was the most rewarding aspect of our visit to Victoria House-the STAFF were very very personable and took a genuine interest in our every need and personal requests. The entire resort is IMMACULATELY maintained. Our room (#12) was just what we imagined it would be and more. The grounds including the landscaping, the beach, the pools, the dock, and even the FRONT ENTRANCE CURB APPEAL (which was next to terrible at other highly advertised resorts) was IMMACULATELY maintained.
We understand the occupancy rate is very high, and we can see why. We will definitely return to Ambergris Caye, and will stay at no other place than Victoria House

Victoria House was without exception the best beach resort we have ever visited. The Staff is amazingly attentive, the food is simply divine and the grounds are so extraordinarily beautiful that it is hard not to daydream about our next visit. I can’t tell you enough how impressed we were with your accomodations. The whole property was absolutely gorgeous and I’ve never received such great and friendly service. It seemed that anytime we asked for something, the most popular response was “of course.” We ate the majority of our meals at the hotel because the food was so delicious and came out perfect everytime. I would like to give special recognition to a few of your staff members who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome; Carlos, Miguel, Julio, Jeremiah, Lelo and Tony. We just returned from Ambergris Caye and our stay at the Victoria House. Our stay there was one of the best vacation we ever had! The staff at the Victoria House was unlike any staff we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. They were very helpful, friendly and always going out of their way to provide us with a wonderful. memorable trip. I can’t say enough about the Victoria House and it’s attentive, accommodating staff. We stayed in a Casita for an entire week and it was great. I think if I was to return I would stay in a Casita again even tho perhaps the Plantation rooms may be bigger. The food in the restaurant was superb! We had two dinners there and several lunches in the grill.
I would recommend the Victoria House over and over again! The location was perfect as well! Thank you for an unforgettable trip to Ambergris Caye!

My husband and I were at the Victoria House last week. I think this is our fourth visit. We come to celebrate our anniversary. I just want you to know that each time we come, it just gets better. I have never been on a vacation where you leave, and you feel like you are leaving family. The staff is just terrific.
We will continue coming as long as we can. I love swimming in the lap pool each morning and having massages on the beach. My husband loves the snorkeling trips and running on the beach. We both love the food and having a bottle of champagne at night while watching the sunset.
We have traveled to many places but the Victoria House is our favorite.

I very seldom answer requests for my opinion when we visit a hotel, but in the case of Victoria House, I feel compelled to respond. My husband and I were there for nine nights in February and the experience was excellent. It was our third stop in Belize and by far the best. Not only is your place beautiful, the beaches exceptional and empty, but your staff is some
of the best we have ever run across – and we have traveled all over the world. Particularly – Tico and Abi at the front desk. Carlos, Shelby and Roxy at the bar. They made our experience at your resort memorable. I don’t think anyone at Victoria House can even utter the word “no” – they catered to us in every way. We went snorkeling and deep sea fishing along with trips to San Pedro in our golf carts and lots and lots of relaxing at your wonderful place. I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had during our stay at the Victoria House last September 7 -11. The grounds were very well maintained and the room we had at the Casa Azul was just perfect. We also spent our last night in a cabana, which was just as cozy. What really made our stay so pleasurable, was the friendly staff on hand. They were all very helpful and prompt in fulfilling any requests we had. Marlon was especially helpful in giving us a tour of the grounds and checking in on us periodically to see if there was anything he or the staff could do for us.
The food and drinks at the beach bar were fabulous and we really enjoyed the pastries and baked goods every morning for breakfast.
Luiz in the dive shop was also helpful in arranging a snorkeling trip as well as a Tikal day trip.
Thank you to all the managers and staff that made our trip memorable. We have already decided to visit Belize and the Victoria House again this fall and have told all our friends about it. Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you soon.

My daughter, Caroline, and I had a GREAT stay with Victoria House last week. We were relieved to see you had set aside a room for us with a King bed and a separate twin, just what we were hoping for (and had requested), so thank you! The room itself was in immaculate condition, something that honestly surprised me, knowing how old your hotel is – so kudos for the wonderful job ya’ll have been doing maintaining the facility. In fact, I think the hotel is even nicer than it was nearly 20 years ago, the last time I stayed there. Your staff was all wonderful, smiles and greetings everywhere! Every question we had was quickly and courteously answered.
We were also very happy with the dive and fishing guides you booked for us. Rene & Jacinto Bradley were awesome and we can’t wait to dive with them again! Alberto Bradley made sure we had bent rods for a full 3 hours, a quite amazing and memorable fishing trip!

My wife and I were celebrating our 40th anniversary with our family staying in the Casa Playa Blanca house. By far this was the most beautiful facility we have ever stayed. We have traveled all over Europe, Hawaii, Alaska, Eastern Caribbean, Mexico, and of course our home country the USA. Thanks to everyone at Victoria House for a perfect vacation! My wife and I were guests at Victoria House in the early eighty’s and we returned 26 years later and enjoyed an absolutely wonderful week long stay. Everything and everyone at Victoria House was amazing!!! The food, service, and the attentive staff made our vacation one of the best we have ever experienced!
Our daughter who is 17 years old and her friend also 17, had a fantastic time as well! We have traveled extensively for about 30 years, to many parts of the world. After 26 years we expected allot of changes, however we were surprised that not much had changed.The people, staff, and management faces have changed, but their outstanding commitment to make our stay the best it could be, hasn’t changed! My wife and I stayed with you in June and the Victoria House is, hands down, the BEST place we have ever stayed. The service was Amazing (a special thank you to Julio and Miguel) the food was delicious, the room was very comfortable and the resort is incomparable.
We drove around the Island in a golf cart and we could not believe how superior the Victoria House was to everything else. The Resort is truly 5 Star in Paradise and we have been telling everyone to go to San Pedro and stay with you. We are even planning our return trip and we will definitely book with you again.
After our stay in Belize, we went to Antigua and had the pleasure of staying at the Casa Encantada and we were even upgraded to a suite! Both places are amazing.

My stay at Victoria House was outstanding – all the guests, those that stayed at VH and the guests that were only attending the wedding was very pleased and thrilled with their experience at VH.
The service and attention that we received is incomparable and second to none. Lets see – there is Angie, Miguel, Justin, Oscar, Jordana, Marlon, Gloria and Julio to name a few that was always willing to assist in which ever way they can with a friendly smile and cheery disposition. We love them all. Javier Williams and Oscar did an outstanding job with both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding day set-up. Javier you are outstanding in putting all the pieces together.
I can only say that everyone we have shown pictures to want to go to Victoria House and some of the visitors are already planning to go back next year. Please continue to keep the outstanding service and accommodations you provide and it truly makes visitors feel at home when the same staff is there to greet you year after year. Miguel recognized my mother from a previous trip she made in 2007 – how special is that? Angie is the same – she was there last year when I visited.

When we arrived, our house had no power (not the fault of Victoria House). The staff and management did everything in their power to make my family as comfortable as ever, including my handicapped mother. Early the next morning, the staff had manufactured and installed ramps so that she was able to access every part of the resort. Everyone at Victoria House was extremely helpful and courteous and we all felt comfortable and happy. I can’t tell you how much we all enjoyed the stay and hope to be back soon. Thank you to everyone, including Miguel, who was always ready to give us a hand.
I was also lucky enough to ask my now fiance to marry me in front of the green kayak in front of the dive shop. Now, we’ll be planning our honeymoon. Thanks again for all the help and attention.

My husband and I were at the Victoria House last week. I think this is our fourth visit. We come to celebrate our anniversary. I just want you to know that each time we come, it just gets better. I have never been on a vacation where you leave, and you feel like you are leaving family. The staff is just terrific.
We will continue coming as long as we can. I love swimming in the lap pool each morning and having massages on the beach. My husband loves the snorkeling trips and running on the beach. We both love the food and having a bottle of champagne at night while watching the sunset.
We have traveled to many places but the Victoria House is our favorite.
