Ambergris Caye is approximately 35 miles off shore from Belize City and the easiest way to reach the island is by a 15 minute commuter flight. The two main airlines of Belize are Tropic Air (www.tropicair.com) and Maya Island Air (www.mayaregional.com). Both carriers have a variety of aircraft, but the main aircraft used for the flight from Belize International (BZE) to San Pedro (SPR) is a 14 passenger Cessna Caravan. Once your reservations are made, our reservations staff can assist with arranging the flights. You will need to provide us with the names of everyone traveling and your flight arrival and departure times into and out of Belize. Currently, the round trip fare from Belize International to San Pedro is $134. per person and includes the ground transfer from the San Pedro Airstrip to/from Victoria House.
Upon clearing customs and immigration, proceed over to the Tropic or Maya counter and check in for the local flight. Once on the island, a Victoria House staff member will meet you and drive you back to the resort. In the event that there is no one from Victoria House is there, just take one of the taxis out front of the terminal and upon arrival at Victoria House the front desk will take care of the taxi fare.
If you decide to take the water taxi from Belize City, you will need to take a taxi from the airport into Belize City (where the water taxi’s depart). Once you have purchased your ticket, the boat ride is approx. 1.5 hours and the last boat leaves Belize City around 4pm. Once you arrive in San Pedro, the easiest way to the Resort is by taxi and the fare is approx. $5.00 U.S..
