Day One — Getting Settled In at Victoria House

After landing at Phillip Goldson International Airport, you’ll board your Tropic Air flight to San Pedro and enjoy a seagull’s eye view of Belize’s sparkling waters and neighboring cayes. At the San Pedro airstrip, our driver will greet you and take you for a short ride through colorful San Pedro, right to our island hideaway where smiling staff and a refreshing welcome beverage await you.

Get settled in your room, and explore our palm-shaded, meticulously landscaped grounds. You won’t encounter large groups; you’ll feel like you’re in someone’s private tropical gardens. Stroll to the dive shop and say ‘hi’ to Luis, who can fill you in on fun water and exotic land activities in Belize. You can narrow your choices with our Vamoos app or drop by the office, and Javier or Luis will get you set up.

In the afternoon, lounge by one of our pools, sway in a hammock, or simply chill on the beach. Are you feeling like an ice-cold Belikin beer or piña colada right about now?  One of our servers will make sure you get just what you wish for; no need to leave that perfect spot we’ll come to you.

At sunset, head for Admiral Nelson’s Bar, where it’s always five o’clock, to enjoy that first evening beverage. When it’s time, you slip into our beautiful and spacious Palmilla Restaurant for the dinner you booked with our very own Jeanie through your own smartphone.

Day Two — Snorkel Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley

Sleep late or enjoy breakfast on the veranda as the rising sun lights the sky. You’ll look forward to home-baked delights, fresh fruit, and tasty beverages. Now it’s time to dive into underwater Belize as you head for the warm, impossibly clear Caribbean waters to snorkel the reef at Hol Chan, home to hundreds of species of fish, endless stretches of colorful coral, marine mammals, and lumbering sea turtles.

Hop back in the boat, have a cold beverage, and take a quick ride over to Shark Ray Alley; yes, the name says it all! Take a deep breath and jump into a transparent turquoise sea swarming with shadowy nurse sharks and graceful stingrays. While it may sound like a leap of faith, it’s safe, and you’ll soon be on social media sharing your tingling adventure.

You’ll be back to the resort in time for lunch, which you can enjoy practically anywhere around the bar, pool, or your own special spot. Scroll through the menu with Vamoos and have lunch your way. One welcome activity is relaxing, so go gently into the afternoon by the pool, beach, or take a delicious nap. Ready for more? Keep things paddling along with one of our free kayaks. Just check with your new friend Luis.

As the sky fills with deep sunset hues, treat yourself to a private dinner at your own spot on the beach or dining with the sound of the ocean at our over-water palapa. Is romance in the air? Reinvent date night; we’ll create an enchanting private dinner near the luster of the sea. Are you traveling with the kids? We can create a setting that the whole family will always remember, and even the kids will love it.

Day Three — Yoga, Mexico Rocks Snorkel, and a Belize Sunset Sail

Discover balance, harmony, and energy and relief from everyday pressures; book a private yoga class or join a small existing class all held outside in the breeze. Afterward, relax at a pool and enjoy one of our tempting lunch offerings from tangy, cool Yucateco Ceviche to an amazing Victoria Burger. Don’t forget an ice-cold Belikin, the smooth and mellow national beer of Belize, which pairs well with anything.

If you loved Hol Chan Marine Reserve and are yearning for more, book a snorkel trip to Mexico Rocks further north along the famous, rich Belize Barrier Reef. This favorite spot is home to endless patches of brain coral, purple sea fans, and brilliant tropical fish. The waters are shallow and warm, and your guide will lead you to some incredible underwater scenery.

Or, just head back to the pool, relax, and look forward to your romantic sunset sail around the southern part of the island. Imagine sails silhouetted against a golden Belizean sunset as the trade winds take you into another tropical eve. For a more perfect experience, order a bottle of Champagne and some tasty local appetizers to enjoy onboard.

Day Four — Xunantunich and Zip Lining on Belize’s Mainland

Ask Jeanie to wake you early. And, don’t forget to grab your insect repellent and closed-toe shoes. We’re departing at 6:15 a.m. for a full-day adventure on Belize’s mainland. We’ll begin at the ancient Maya ruins of Xunantunich, located in western Belize, near the Guatemalan border. Climb one of the highest Maya structures in Belize, El Castillo, where you’ll marvel at breathtaking views that surround you: including the Belize River Valley, the Cayo District, and the nearby Guatemalan mountains, along with the rest of Xunantunich at your feet. Later, we’ll leave the Maya’s magic and head for a zip line zoom meeting with the lush rainforest. Soar at eye level with exotic birds and spider monkeys on one of the country’s most extended lines.

After a long, adventurous day, you’ll deserve a refreshing drink and maybe luxurious room service. Please leave it to us to prepare and deliver one of our luscious Victoria House dinners as you relax on another starry night.

Day Five — Fishing Along Belize Barrier Reef

A beautiful breakfast by the sea is a popular way to start day five. Our experienced and gracious serving team will make sure everything is perfect. Savor such local and traditional dishes as Lobster Eggs Benedict, our gluten-free Banana Pancakes, and our special Pitax Pac, a traditional Maya dish with eggs scrambled with coconut oil, tomato, and onions served with black beans, local fry jacks, and a choice of house bacon, sausage, or ham. Some of you will be texting pictures of this fantastic taste of Belize!

Get ready for a half-day of exciting reef fishing action along the Belize Barrier Reef. You’ll be hooked on the experience with our certified, friendly, experienced guides who’ve fished these waters their entire lives. You’re most likely to hook up with snapper, grouper, or jackfish. The boats have everything you need for a successful day.

Bring us your catch, and our kitchen prepare your fish any way you like, grilled, broiled, baked, fried, or something special. Seafood doesn’t get any fresher than this. We can serve your meal in the location of your choice—in your room, by the pool, at Palmilla restaurant, or Admiral Nelson’s bar, where you can swap fish stories with other sun-soaked, happy guests.

Day Six — Pampering at Victoria House Resort Spa

Since this is your last full day with us, you might as well spend it pampering yourself; start with our popular complete breakfast in your room. Just launch our Vamoos app for a peek at the eye-opening full menu and treat yourself to a delicious, lazy morning.

Speaking of indulgence, plan to visit the Victoria House Spa, a quiet and therapeutic destination for guests seeking relaxation, recovery, and self-care. Once inside this soothing space, our team of massage therapists and estheticians will offer an exceptional menu of body and beauty treatments from massages to manicures, polishes to pedicures.

A guest favorite is the Victoria House Signature Treatment that consists of a Coco Body Polish, warm al-fresco shower, and an hour-long signature relaxation massage.

Enjoy a light lunch at Admiral Nelson’s and get ready to ‘choc’ up a new experience with a chocolate making class arranged by our local Belize Chocolate Factory in San Pedro. They produce high-quality, locally sourced chocolates that you can learn to make yourself. If you want to bring chocolates home with you, they can arrange to deliver some of their signature gift sets. Life is making your own box of chocolates!

For your last night in Belize, have a quiet dinner under the stars in Palmilla’s outdoor dining area. It’s still lobster season, so consider splurging on one of our exquisite lobster specials such as lobster ceviche, corn and lobster chowder, and our surf ‘n turf entrée. Be sure to save room for a delectable tempting choice of local dessert treats to please any sweet tooth. Some of our guests’ favorites include the cheesecake made with goat cheese and topped with tropical fruit, vanilla ice cream, almond tuile, or the ever-popular Molten Chocolate, served with brûlée bananas and ice cream.

Day Seven —Departing Belize

Early continental breakfast is always ready for you, but you can opt for an unrushed full breakfast under the palms on your last day. If you prefer to stay and finish packing, we’ll bring everything hot and fresh to your door. As the time nears to depart, you can say farewell to the new friends you made, as our private driver waits to transport you to San Pedro for your Tropic Air flight back over the shimmering sea to the international airport.

We hope you had a magical time in Belize and at Victoria House Resort and Spa. We wish you a safe trip home and hope to welcome you back to Belize soon. Please share your pictures and experiences of your stay; your friends and family will be envious.
