Understandably, these changes may be frustrating, but rest assured that Belize is responding by expanding testing capacity and availability for returning travelers. Victoria House Resort & Spa is going one step above to make the process even easier for our upcoming guests. We’ve coordinated with local medical clinics and professionals to provide personal concierge COVID-19 testing for guests who don’t want to wait until the airport or secure a test from a private facility in Belize.
Here’s everything you need to know about arranging your COVID-19 testing through Victoria House Resort and Spa in San Pedro, Belize.
What Type of COVID-19 Testing Are You Offering?
We will arrange the appointment and the clinics will be offering guests nasal swab rapid tests that will meet the requirements for current US travel restrictions and requirements.
What Is the Cost of the COVID-19 Testing from Victoria House?
The cost for the personal concierge COVID-19 testing will start at $65 USD per person for a rapid antigen test and $200 USD for a PCR test. You can pay Victoria House directly for the test at the time of booking, either by cash or credit card. You can also pay the clinic directly with cash or credit card.
Is This COVID-19 Test Appointment through Victoria House Available to Everyone in San Pedro, Belize?
No, this is a limited personal concierge service we are offering for the convenience of our Victoria House guests. There are other clinics on the island that will also be offering more widespread testing for non-guests. If you are staying at another Gold Standard Resort, ask your guest services department what their procedure is.
How Do You Schedule COVID-19 Testing Through Victoria House?
You will need to schedule the test yourself after arriving at the resort. This can be done through our Guest Services staff, Luis or Abi. You should make the appointment after arriving at the resort so you don’t run the risk of the mobile medical professionals being booked up before your departure date.
How Long Before I Receive the Results of my Belize COVID-19 Rapid Test?
While you could receive the results sooner, the standard turnaround for this service will be 24 hours. You can request to have your results either emailed or in hard copy format.
What Happens If Someone in My Family Tests Positive?
We certainly hope no one tests positive during their stay in Belize. However, if you or a family member test positive and you are unable to leave the country, we will extend a 50% discount on most lodging at Victoria House (excluding Infinity Suites and Villas). As one of Belize’s first Gold Standard Certified resorts, we are well-equipped and trained to handle any guests who test positive during their stay.
