With travel largely inaccessible for the last year, many of us have been daydreaming about destinations we love and can’t wait to get back to. We are so grateful and humbled by all the support we’ve received from our prior guests, friends, and future first-time visitors to Belize. Despite being closed for most of 2020, Victoria House still won Best Waterside Hotel in Central and South America in Condé Nast’s 2021 Awards for Excellence. We are now thrilled to share we have been nominated in Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards for 2021.
Belize Nominations for Travel + Leisure’s 2021 World’s Best Awards
In fact, 16 different Belize hotels are nominated this year, plus two islands — both Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker are on the 2021 list. This is a tremendous honor for us at Victoria House, as well as for Belize tourism as a whole. With the world slowly starting to reopen, awards like this help Belize gain recognition as leaders in the hospitality industry.
Voting is now open until May 10th, 2021. Winners will be announced in October 2021. We kindly ask if you would take a moment to register and vote for us in this year’s awards. We are excited to be nominated, and every vote counts.

The World’s Best Awards from Travel + Leisure is an annual reader survey that ranks the best of the best in various destinations, including airlines, airports, car rentals, cities, hotels, spas, islands, and more. The 2020 edition marked the 25th year for the World’s Best Awards. Recognition in the World’s Best Awards is a coveted honor and is only awarded to the top resorts and hotels in each region.
