Victoria House gave my wife and I the honeymoon of a lifetime. The entire experience from start to finish was top notch, and I cannot recommend it enough. The resort is whatever you want it to be – there is a bar for socializing, the rooms are beautiful if you prefer privacy, and you can find anything in between. You will not need to leave the resort, although the town of San Pedro is lovely as well.

The Victoria House team will help coordinate your travel from the mainland to the island, and there will be a VH staff member waiting for you upon arrival. He takes you straight to the resort where you are greeted by the front desk with a ginger limeade. Your bags are brought to your room while you are shown around the property.

The rooms are pristine and each has its own beautiful view of the beach and water. We stayed in the Rainforest Suite, which features a private pool and is right on the beach.

The grounds were immaculate. The pool was cleaned and the beach was raked every morning. The sea wall keeps the sargassum at bay, and they have a crew removing it all day long. It truly caused us zero issues.

The service was truly 5-star and the staff takes the experience to the next level. From the time you set foot on the resort, you do not have to lift a finger. You can send a text message to have drinks or food delivered to your room. The food and drink are both unbelievable, as are the servers and bartenders. Ryan, Caesar, Reuben, Carmen, Duane, Jonathan, and all of the others consistently made sure we were well taken care of. They genuinely seemed invested in ensuring we had the best time we possibly could, and we feel we left the resort with friends and we hope to see them again.

The activities and amenities the resort offers are also top-tier. The spa was so good we ended up going again, and would have gone a third time if time had permitted. Manny at the activity center will hook you up and ensure you are taken care of. He is happy to answer any questions. The night before an excursion you get an activity list delivered to your room telling you what time you leave, where to meet, what to bring, and an estimated time of return. Any excursions to the mainland include travel and food. Our personal favorite was the fishing/BBQ/snorkel excursion: they take you fishing (we caught barracuda and snapper, and they were kind enough to grab some lobsters as well), then you head to a secluded beach where they cook for you while you swim around, and it is followed by a snorkel. The snorkels are guided tours, and we saw a manatee, multiple sea turtles, multiple rays, barracuda, and the reef, among other things.

I feel we got our money’s worth and then some at Victoria House. The Reef Romance package was well worth it. The location is unbeatable, as is the staff. 10/10.

We loved the resort and staff! 😀 – The staff were excellent! We never had to wait long for anything and they even helped us with offsire reservations. 😞 – The beds are queen sized which was a bit of a tight squeeze. There was also a pretty bad smell that woke me up consistently during the night.

Everything was perfect. Staff, amenities, tours, food, site, everything. We especially liked your dive/snorkel team of Rene and Hicento, who were professional, safety conscious, and gentle with my three teenagers as they navigated a discovery dive for the first time. The property was a gem! It had everything we could have hoped for: delicious meals, drinks and food poolside, two beautiful pools, turn down service in the evening as well as housekeeping in the morning. The staff was so considerate and made a point to know our names. We rented golf carts and went to dinner one night in a nearby resort. The fitness center was top of the line and we enjoyed having it available to use each morning. The excursions director was great, and we enjoyed snorkeling (amazing) and fly fishing with a guide (also amazing). The bar on the property was a fun change of scenery and were able to eat there a couple times as well. Stunning 😀 – A fabulous property that looks at least as good as the pictures. An infinity pool overlooking the reef and another on the edge of the beach . Beautifully manicured gardens and white sand paths. Professional staff. A first class restaurant. A good gym kept immaculate. Much needed excellent air conditioning. Lots of good eating nearby. Reef trip pick up from the hotel pier

For a Solo traveler, this hotel was perfect—safe, clean, and quiet. The staff were pleasant overall. There was one instance where I did not like a recommended drink but was still charged because “there was nothing wrong with it”-not very accommodating. Other than that, I didn’t have any issues. I rented a golf cart from across the street and it was free to park on the property. The pool and gym was perfect for me. It’s a nice place for couples and solo travelers.
