Ambergris Caye is located just minutes away from the Belize Barrier Reef – the second largest barrier reef in the world – and boasts a variety of dive sites within a 20 minute boat ride from the pier at Victoria House. Atolls also offer an amazing, colorful and diverse full day of diving.

Most of the dive sites are a two to three tank multilevel dives. Weather conditions are taken under consideration for each of the dive sites listed. The Turneffe area is filled with a vast array of fish that gather between deep canyons and groove reef formations.

One-Tank Dive and Snorkel Combination

Get the best of both worlds! This tour takes you on a quick ten-minute boat ride to Holchan Marine Reserve, where the channel depth ranges from quite shallow to 30-feet deep.

You can snorkel or dive with our expert guides and dive master leading the way. You will likely spot sea turtles, groupers, eels, tarpon, coral, sea fans, and schools of fish! Next, you’ll head to Shark Ray Alley. The site is 8-feet deep and provides the opportunity to snorkel among different species of sting rays, nurse sharks, and horse eye jacks.

This tour runs from 9:00 am to 11:00 am or 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Refresher Course

The purpose of this program is to review and update the knowledge and skills of certified divers, particularly those who have had an extended period of inactivity in diving. Includes a review of dive theory, dive tables, safety diving practices, water-skills review and an open-water orientation dive. Proof of certification is required. 8:00 am – 11:00 am or 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm.


  • Refresher Course: $112.50 USD per person
  • Refresher Course + One Dive: $185.63 USD per person

Open Water Certification

This is a program designed to provide students with knowledge and skills necessary to dive safely. The course consists of five informal classroom sessions, four shallow water skill development dives and four open water dives at the reef. All necessary equipment and books are provided. At the completion of the course students will receive a PADI certification card, which allows them to participate in diving activities, and to rent and purchase scuba tanks and equipment. Minimum age 11. This is a three day program.

Cost: $506.25 USD per person+ $10.00 park fee + $4.00 chamber fee

Open Water Referral

This is a two-day course for individuals who have already completed their academic and confined water requirements for the open water course. The course consists of the 4 open water dives required for the completion of the open water certification course. All necessary equipment is included. A student referral form from the original instructor is required. Minimum age 11.

Cost: $351.50 USD per person

Advanced Diver Certification

The Advanced Open Water course provides the novice diver with a structured well-supervised means to gain additional dive experience. An important prerequisite too many specialty courses, the course consists of five open water dives done over two days. Dives includes an underwater navigation dive and a night dive. Proof of certification is required.

Cost: $421.88 USD per person + $10 Park Fee if required

Discover Scuba Diving

This resort course is a half day program designed to allow non-divers to experience scuba diving under the direct supervision of a dive instructor. Includes a lecture on dive theory and safe diving practices, and hands on equipment orientation. This is followed by a well-supervised boat dive in a shallow reef environment. Minimum age 11. From 8:00 am – 11:00 am or 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm.

Cost: $207.88 USD per person

Local Diving

These dives depart at 8:00 am & 9:00 am to 12:30 pm every day for the two tank dive, and 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm for the one tank dive. The boat ride is only five to 20 minutes from the dive shop to the dive site depending on which tour you have selected. Equipment is NOT included and proof of certification is required.

Offshore Dive Trips

These trips depart at 5.30 am and return to San Pedro at approximately 4:30-6:00 pm. Included are three one tank dives, breakfast, lunch and refreshments, equipment is included and proof of certification is required.
