Summers on Ambergris Caye are festive, fun, and filled with activity. From an all-you-can-eat lobster festival to kick off the season to a massive international pageantry spectacular, Ambergris Caye knows how to celebrate!
Every June we celebrate San Pedro Lobsterfest, this year from June 15 through the 24th. Everything lobster happens at Lobsterfest, from our favourite crustacean cooked in every conceivable way to more festival-like festivities including parties, dancing, and celebration.
International Costa Maya Festival might be one of Belize’s biggest annual events, and it takes place on our quaint little caye, our La Isla Bonita. The pageant involves contestants from across the Caribbean and Central America, the festivities involve food and drink and fireworks and parties for days on end, and the dancing just never stops. Usually held in August, Costa Maya is a fabulous multicultural event you’ll never forget.
That’s just a taste of Ambergris Caye in the summer. We haven’t even gotten to Tres Pescados Slam Tournament, one of our annual fly fishing tournaments also held in August!
