Victoria House Resort| Marlon a True Hero

High employee turnover is a fact of life in the hospitality industry, one that can negatively affect the level of service provided by hotels, resorts and restaurants. Here at Victoria House however, we’re fortunate in that the majority of our staff have been with us for a decade or more. And providing ongoing training in skills that are valuable not just in the workplace but in life is something that we take pride in offering. Victoria House resort is proud to have Marlon a true hero amongst our staff.

It also provides some surprising and gratifying rewards…

This month we’re extremely proud of our very own Marlon Gonzales a true hereo for his quick thinking and actions that saved the life of a local youngster, 11 year old Mirna Pagoada. Marlon utilized skills gained by participating in a company-sponsored First Aid training session offered by the Belize Red Cross. Along with many of his co-workers at Victoria House he regularly attends Red Cross courses with instructors and equipment provided by Bandage International, a volunteer organization based in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Marlon has been working with us for 12 years now and will likely be one of the first of many friendly faces that you’ll see at Victoria House, as he meets you at the airport and brings you to the resort in his golfcart.

Thank you Marlon, for being an important member of the Victoria House team. We look forward to having you with us for another 12 years!
